Sarulla Geothermal Plant in Indonesia Reaches Full Capacity

All units of the Sarulla geothermal power plant in Indonesia have reached commercial operation, bringing the project to its full 330-MW capacity.

The project has three 110-MW units, and co-project sponsor Ormat Technologies Inc. said it brought the third unit, NIL 2, online on May 4. SIL, the first unit of the power plant, began commercial operation in March 2017 and NIL 1, the second unit, began commercial operation in October 2017.
