Climate Central's chief climatologist Heidi Cullen and NY Times' columnist Thomas Friedman were on CBS' Face the Nation this Sunday to help make sense of the latest report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and to discuss "Years of Living Dangerously," a new documentary series taking a look at how climate change is already affecting people from New York to Syria.

The report, released earlier this week, is focused on climate change impacts around the globe.  It clearly states that those impacts are already being felt and are likely to grow more pronounced if greenhouse gas emissions aren't curbed.

Millions more exposed to flood risks, decreases in crop yields, and widespread damages to ocean and land ecosystems are among the numerous risks climate change likely poses that are detailed in the report.

Cullen talked about the consequences of those risks as well as how we choose to address them.  New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman joined her for the segment.
